PREVIOUS BOARD/BOARD COMMITTEE ACTIONS:
By Resolution 16-063 (June 7, 2016), the Board authorized submittal of a Regional Payment Program Application by County of Mendocino staff and authorized Mendocino Solid Waste Management Authority (MSWMA) to execute all related documents.

SUMMARY OF REQUEST:
The Department of Resources Recycling and Recovery (CalRecycle) administers the Beverage Container Recycling City/County Payment Program (Payment Program), which can be used to fund litter reduction activities that include beverage recycling containers. Historically, the funds allocated through the Payment Program to the County of Mendocino (County) and the Cities of Ukiah, Fort Bragg, and Willits (Cities) have been used by MSWMA to fund a portion of illegal dump cleanup activities countywide.
