Ratify Agreement accepting California Strengthening Public Health Initiative (CASPHI) funds in the amount of $652,649 as allocated by the California Department of Public Health (CDPH) to support local health jurisdictions and strengthen local infrastructure for the period of December 1, 2022, through November 30, 2027; authorize the CEO or designee to sign the revenue agreement and any future amendments that do not increase the annual maximum amount; and authorize Chair to sign same.

SUMMARY OF REQUEST:
On December 4, 2022, the California Department of Public Health (CDPH) received a Notice of Award (NOA) from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) for the California Strengthening Public Health Initiative (CASPHI). CDPH is allocating those funds to participating Local Health Jurisdictions (LHJ) over a five-year period. CDPH is allocating $652,649 of the CASPHI funds to the County of Mendocino.
In order to accept the CDPH funding allocation, the County of Mendocino must execute and return the proposed binding Allocation Letter. The Allocation Letter outlines funding details and requirements, submission requirements, reporting requirements, and reimbursement and invoicing details.
