Previous Board/Board Committee Actions:
On February 25, 2014, the Board of Supervisors transferred the administration of all Veterans’ Memorial Buildings from the Health and Human Services Agency to the General Services Agency and adopted revised Rules and Regulations with amendments as directed by the Board.

Summary of Request:
Since the existing Veterans’ Memorial Buildings Rules and Regulations were adopted in 2014, various administrative deficiencies have been identified. Since 2014, County staff have routinely met with representatives of the Veterans Groups that utilize the buildings. The proposed updates and changes were shared with these Veterans group representatives for discussion during the most recent quarterly meeting. The changes were viewed positively. The Facilities division of the Executive Office is requesting that the Board of Supervisors approve the submitted revised Veterans’ Memorial Building Rules and Regulations and authorize the Chief Executive Officer to make any future administrative-related changes to the Veterans’ Memorial Building Rules and Regulations as necessary.
