Approve retroactive Agreement with Round Valley Indian Health Center in the amount of $8,250, to conduct CalFresh Healthy Living/Nutrition Education and Obesity Prevention Branch activities, effective October 1, 2022, through September 30, 2023; authorize the Public Health Director or designee to sign any amendments that do not increase the maximum amount; and authorize Chair to sign same.

SUMMARY OF REQUEST:
In 2019, the California Department of Public Health, Nutrition Education and Obesity Prevention Branch granted Mendocino County $450,000 in Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program-Education (SNAP-Ed) funds, for implementing the CalFresh Healthy Living Program through September 30, 2022. The SNAP-Ed grant was amended on October 4, 2022, to include an additional $150,000, and extend the term through September 30, 2023.

Since 2019, the County has utilized a portion of SNAP-Ed funds to continuously contract with Round Valley Indian Health Center (RVIHC) to provide certain SNAP-Ed grant deliverables under the CalFresh Healthy Living Program.
