RECOMMENDED ACTION/MOTION:

Approve the Board of Supervisors' response to the 2024/2025 Grand Jury Report and disband the Grand Jury Ad Hoc Committee for the Grand Jury report titled "Planning and Building Department - Structural Issues: Exposing the Cracks"; direct the Clerk of the Board to return original to the County Counsel's Office for submission; and authorize Chair to sign same.

PREVIOUS BOARD/BOARD COMMITTEE ACTIONS:
On June 24, 2025, the Board of Supervisors appointed an Ad Hoc Committee to respond to the Grand Jury Report "Planning and Building Department - Structural Issues: Exposing the Cracks".
SUMMARY OF REQUEST:
State law requires the Board of Supervisors to respond to Grand Jury findings and recommendations no later than 90 days after issuance of the report. On June 11, 2025, the Grand Jury published its report, "Planning and Building Department - Structural Issues: Exposing the Cracks". The Ad Hoc Committee has prepared a draft response for Board approval so that it may be submitted to the Grand Jury.
