RECOMMENDED ACTION/MOTION:

Adopt Resolution approving a Grant Agreement with the State Air Resources Board, authorizing the Air Quality Management District to accept the State Air Resources Board AB 197 Emissions Inventory District Grant in the amount of $8,583, authorizing the Air Pollution Control Officer, as agent, to sign the grant agreement with the State Air Resources Board for the term of May 1, 2020 through May 1, 2021; and authorize Chair to sign same.

PREVIOUS BOARD/BOARD COMMITTEE ACTIONS:
The Air Quality Management District regularly receives grant funding. This source of grant funds was first approved by the Board on September 25, 2018; the amount of funding awarded at that time was $18,267.

SUMMARY OF REQUEST:
In 2016 the state legislature approved Assembly Bill 197 requiring the state Air Resources Board to make available to the public the emissions of greenhouse gases and criteria pollutants for each facility that reports to the state board and update the information annually. The AB 197 Emissions Inventory District Grant provides funding to districts to help off-set the cost of updating and reporting facility emissions data to the Air Resources Board. The 2020 grant amount allocated to the District is $8,583.
