Approve retroactive Agreement with Santiago Simental DBA Alternatives to Violence, in the amount of $50,000 to provide domestic violence treatment services for Health and Human Services Agency, Family and Children's Services clients, effective July 1, 2020 through June 30, 2021; authorize Health and Human Services Agency Director or designee to sign any future amendments to the Agreement that do not exceed the annual maximum amount; and authorize Chair to sign same.

SUMMARY OF REQUEST:
Santiago Simental DBA Alternatives to Violence, provides domestic violence treatment services to Family and Children's Services clients as part of their voluntary or court-ordered case plans to support children safely remaining home with a parent or the reunification of children in foster care to their families. Mr. Simental provides anger management in group sessions, individual sessions, and for children and youth. Mr. Simental also provides partner/victim education designed to help the partner understand the core elements of the anger/domestic violence programs. Written progress reports are provided to the referring social worker every two months; these reports are used to update the court on the client's progress.
