PREVIOUS BOARD/BOARD COMMITTEE ACTIONS:
On August 4, 2020, the Board approved a five-year Agreement with BI, Inc. for electronic home detention monitoring devices in the total amount of $1,000,000 with the option to extend the term for three (3) additional one (1) year periods.

SUMMARY OF REQUEST:
On March 11, 2020, Exception to Bid No. 20-128 was approved with BI, Inc. for home detention monitoring devices and services that resulted in a five (5) year Agreement in the total not-to-exceed amount of $1,000,000 allocated at $200,000 per year. The Agreement covers device/equipment costs, monitoring services, and training for Sheriff's Office staff. This first Amendment will extend the termination date set out in BOS Agreement 20-121 from June 30, 2025, through June 30, 2026, and will increase the Agreement total by $100,000 for a new not-to-exceed amount of $1,100,000.
