Ratify the submission of the Application to the California Department of Health Care Services' COVID-19 Mitigation for Behavioral Health Systems grant; and authorize the Director of Behavioral Health and Recovery Services to sign any resulting Agreement awarded, up to $100,000, for the anticipated project period of March 1, 2022 to March 31, 2025, and any amendments that do not increase the maximum amount.

SUMMARY OF REQUEST:
The California Department of Health Care Services' COVID-19 Mitigation Project will prevent, prepare for and respond to the COVID-19 public health emergency and ensure the continuity of services to support individuals connected to the behavioral health system, particularly those engaged in mental health disorders or substance use and co-occurring disorder prevention, early intervention, treatment and recovery service activities.

Behavioral Health and Recovery Services (BHRS) applied for funds to achieve healthy environments, necessary personal protective equipment (PPE), and rapid testing tools to stay open at full capacity to service Mendocino County's vulnerable rural populations experiencing mental health disorders and/or substance use disorders.
