PREVIOUS BOARD/BOARD COMMITTEE ACTIONS:
On July 8th, 2025, the Board of Supervisors approved the purchase of a vehicle contingent that the care is hybrid, direction to staff regarding researching the viability of a hybrid vehicle.
SUMMARY OF REQUEST:
On July 8th, 2025, the Board of Supervisors requested the District Attorney's office to research the viability of hybrid vehicle for purchase in place of a gas-powered vehicle. The District Attorney's office did research and determined that the hybrid vehicle is not suitable due to operational demands requiring extended range, higher performance and traveling to remote areas.
The District Attorney is seeking Board of Supervisor's approval for the purchase of one gas-powered vehicle to replace one old, high mileage vehicle. The vehicle cost is estimated at $52,000, including dealer price plus required customizations to be funded with DA Asset Forfeiture Fund 2110-760220.
