Previous Board/Board Committee Actions:

On February 9, 2016, the Board of Supervisors disbanded the Legislative Platform Ad Hoc Committee consisting of Supervisors Brown and Gjerde and referred the development of the 2017 Legislative Platform to the Board of Supervisors' General Government Standing Committee.

 

Summary of Referral

Pursuant to County Policy No. 19, the Board of Supervisors adopts an annual Legislative Platform reflecting the County priorities for legislative advocacy, state and federal funding, and issues of interest to local government.

 

The Executive Office reviewed the 2016 Legislative Platform and has provided updates for the 2017 platform.  The Executive Office requests additional direction and input from the Standing Committee on additional legislative priorities for advocacy to be included in the 2017 platform for the upcoming legislative session.
