Previous Board/Board Committee Actions:

On November 3, 2015, the Board of Supervisors held a public hearing to allocate Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) funds and CDBG Program Income to approve the funding of this project.

Summary of Request

Since the Board allocated the CDBG funding to support this project, changes have occurred associated with the Housing First Project. RCS has worked diligently to acquire property and, after facing many obstacles, potentially found a suitable site. With the continued support of the Board of Supervisors, RCS will be able to fulfill the terms of the CDBG approved activity and begin development of the homeless services Community Center and Housing First Project.

Alternative Action/Motion:

Provide further direction to staff.
