Adopt Resolution authorizing Department of Transportation (DOT) to advertise for bids and award DOT Contract Number (No.) 160103 to perform traffic signal maintenance on North (N.) State Street (St.), County Road (CR) 104, at the intersections of Ford Road (Rd.), CR 250, Kuki Lane (Ln.)., CR 250A, West (W.) Lake Mendocino Drive (Dr.), CR 227B, and Lake Mendocino Dr., CR 227B, (Ukiah Areas); and authorize Chair to sign same.

Summary of Request:
DOT will prepare and administer construction plans, specifications, estimates and contract documents for DOT Contract No. 160103 for N. State St., CR104, Traffic Signal Maintenance. This project will install video imaging vehicle detection systems to optimize traffic flow on N. State St., CR 104, at the intersections of Ford Rd., CR 250, and Kuki Ln., CR 250A. To conserve energy, maintain safe traffic flow during power outages, and significantly increase visibility of the traffic signals at night, this project will include replacing all traffic and pedestrian signal indicators with light emitting diode (LED) modules, installing battery backup systems, and adding a retroreflective perimeter to the face of each traffic signal on N. State St., CR 140, at the intersections of Ford Rd., CR 250, Kuki Ln., CR 250A, W. Lake Mendocino Dr., CR 227B, and Lake Mendocino Dr., CR 227B. This project has an estimated cost of $136,000.00 when completed.
