Summary of Request

The Mendocino County Office of Emergency Services (OES) would like to purchase four (4) InFocus J-Touch Touchscreen Monitors for a cost of $24,531.04 (pre-tax) with four (4) InFocus LightCast Key accessories for a cost of $1,112.28 (pre-tax). The cost of the purchase will be $27,791 after sales tax. Half of the cost will be funded by the Emergency Management Performance Grant (EMPG) and the other half will be funded by previously allocated general fund match (dollar for dollar grant match). These touch screen monitors are intended to be used in the County’s Emergency Operations Center (EOC). They will be used during emergencies to display situational status information from the various EOC sections and will also be used during training and exercises as well. These displays will allow EOC staff to better display and consume information within the EOC and provide the flexibility to move the displays on mobile carts when needed. The purchase of the $27,791 four (4) Touchscreen Monitors and LightCast accessories will be made under a competitively awarded National Joint Powers Alliance contract.
