Approve Amendment to Agreement No. SS-S16-078 Purchasing Agent No. 17-41 with Redwood Toxicology Laboratory, Inc., in the amount of $20,000 (for a new total of $70,000) to provide laboratory testing and supplies for FCS clients in fiscal year 2016-17; authorize the HHSA Director or designee to sign any further amendments to the Agreement that do not increase the annual maximum amount; and authorize Chair to sign same.

SUMMARY OF REQUEST:
Redwood Toxicology Laboratory, Inc., aka Redwood Biotech, provides all drug/alcohol testing devices, and all specimen testing, for individuals who are required to drug test for Family and Children's Services, either as part of investigations regarding child abuse or neglect, or as part of their case plans to determine if a client has used drugs and/or alcohol. This amendment will provide additional funds to cover an increased need for mandated drug testing and supplies due to an unexpected rise in service needs.
