Summary of Request:
The Brown administration is including $1.5 million in the Fiscal Year 2017-18 State budget to fund environmental cleanup of illegal cannabis grow sites in Humboldt, Trinity and Mendocino Counties. Assemblymember Jim Wood’s leadership and advocacy effects with the Governor’s Office was essential in obtaining $1.5 million in the upcoming budget to fund North Coast regional to clean up the egregious environmental damage, specifically to California’s waterways, caused by illegal cannabis cultivation sites
