PREVIOUS BOARD/BOARD COMMITTEE ACTIONS:
On April 5, 2016 the Board of Supervisors approved agreement BOS 16-013 with 4Leaf, Inc.

SUMMARY OF REQUEST:
In 2016 Planning and Building Services (PBS) entered into a purchase agreement (PA 16-62) in an amount not to exceed $50,000, with 4Leaf to supply the department with an Interim Building Official. Due to the long term vacancy of the Building Official and other staff shortages in PBS, the agreement was amended on April 5th, 2016 (BOS 16-013) to extend the date to December 31, 2016 and increase the amount up to $150,000. A subsequent amendment (BOS 16-013-A1) was processed to increase the value of the agreement up to $225,000 and extend the date to June 30, 2017. PBS is proposing to extend the agreement an additional 6 months to December 31, 2017 in order to use the remaining balance of the contract to provide coverage while newly hired building inspectors are trained. The final dollar amount of the agreement will remain the same.

ALTERNATIVE ACTION/MOTION:
Do not approve the amendment.
