Previous Board/Board Committee Actions:

On June 21, 2016, the Board of Supervisors adopted the Master Position Allocation Table for Fiscal Year (FY) 2016 - 2017 Budget, Resolution No. 16-071.  On June 7, 2017, the Board approved the FY 2017-18 proposed budget including changes to position allocations.                     

 

Summary of Request

The Human Resources Department is charged, as part of the overall maintenance of the classification and compensation plan, to evaluate current classifications, create new classifications (including appropriate salary levels), reclassify positions, examine requests for salary grade adjustments, analyze allocations, and make recommendations for additions, modifications, and corrections.

 

Attachment A represents the Master Position Allocation table for FY 2017-18 as of pay period 12-17 ending June 3, 2017, and incorporates changes authorized during the June 7, 2017 approval of the FY 2017-18 Budget, as presented with the following adjustments: Budget Unit 4010, Funding of Senior Public Health Nurse listed as TBD (To Be Determined) has been identified as Budget Unit 4013, position number 3854; Budget Unit 4012, delete Substance Abuse Counselor should be position number 3708 in Budget Unit 4050.  In addition, during the June 7, 2017 Board meeting, the Board authorized for Budget Unit 6210, deletion of one (1) FTE position number 0855 Agricultural Technician, addition of one (1) FTE Senior Agricultural Technician.

Not adopt the resolution and direct staff to study alternatives.
