SUMMARY OF REQUEST:
On March 10, 2017, an Agreement was signed by the County Purchasing Agent to authorize services from Community Development Services to assist the County with the Community Development Block Grant Program (CDBG), due to the absence of key support staff. Currently, the County is processing 14 separate activities related to the CDBG program that require ongoing oversight, including reporting, site management, document follow-up, as well as continued conference calls with the California Department of Housing and Community Development (HCD). Planning and Building Service staff requires additional support to complete the grant and supplemental activities, as approved in the CDBG Agreement with HCD, and complete the Grant Expenditures by the end of 2018.
ALTERNATIVE ACTION/MOTION:
Do not approve the amendment to the agreement and provide direction to staff.
