SUMMARY OF REQUEST:
The Mendocino Rotary Foundation, a nonprofit, is in the process of developing a park at the intersection of Lansing and Main streets in the Town of Mendocino. Siting of this facility was approved last year by the Coastal Commission in conjunction with the approval of the Town Plan amendment. Planning and Building Services' project fee estimate is $8,723. The Mendocino Rotary Foundation requests that these fees be waived by the Board of Supervisors.

Redwood Coast Medical Services, Inc. (RCMS), a nonprofit medical and dental clinic providing a range of preventive health services to residents of and visitors to the south coast, has been utilizing a helipad on their Gualala property since 1985. Last year, the California Department of Transportation Aeronautics Division directed RCMS to make certain safety improvements. In the process of compliance, RCMS discovered that the helipad, which has been providing emergency transport for three decades, had never been formally permitted.
