Adopt Resolution approving and adopting an Addendum to the previously adopted Mitigated Negative Declaration, in compliance with California Environmental Quality Act Requirements, for amendments to Chapter 10A.17 of the Mendocino County Code, and authorize Chair to sign same; and Introduce and Waive First Reading of an Ordinance Amending Chapter 6.36 - Cannabis Facilities Businesses and Chapter 10A.17 - Mendocino Cannabis Cultivation Ordinance.

Summary of Request

On November 16, 2018, the Board of Supervisors reviewed the recommendations of the Cannabis Ad Hoc Committee and provided direction to staff to make certain changes to Chapter 10A.17 for possible first reading on December 11, 2018.  Staff was also given the discretion to determine whether certain directed amendments needed additional time to be properly made or reviewed.

 

Staff has prepared an ordinance that makes many of the changes directed by the Board of Supervisors at its November 16, 2018, meeting.  This ordinance also includes changes brought forward by staff as part of a separate agenda item at the November 16, 2018, meeting, which were not heard that day.
