Approve Agreement with Mendocino Coast Hospitality Center in the amount of $100,000 to provide vocational services to clients with mental health challenges, effective when Agreement becomes fully executed through June 30, 2020; authorize Health and Human Services Agency Director or designee to sign any future amendments to the Agreement that do not increase the annual maximum amount; and authorize Chair to sign same.

SUMMARY OF REQUEST:
The Mendocino County Mental Health Services Act (MHSA) Reversion Plan identified $679,476 available for Prevention and Early Intervention (PEI) services in Mendocino County. Mendocino Coast Hospitality Center (MCHC) will use $100,000 of these funds to provide stigma and discrimination reduction programs through vocational services and recovery opportunities. Services will be provided to participants with mental health challenges, who may be referred to MCHC by Welfare to Work, Mendocino College, MCHC, and other agencies serving clients who are or have been homeless. MCHC will use flexible training elements allowing people to participate in adaptable and individualized ways relating to their specific needs with the goal of becoming self-sufficient and productive members of their community in an effort to reduce stigma.
