Approve retroactive Agreement with Ford Street Project in the amount of $103,680 to provide job development services to California Work Opportunity and Responsibility to Kids Job Services participants for the period of July 1, 2019 through June 30, 2020; authorize the Health and Human Services Agency Director or designee to sign any future amendments that do not increase the annual maximum amount; and authorize Chair to sign same.

SUMMARY OF REQUEST:
Health and Human Services Agency, California Work Opportunity and Responsibility to Kids (CalWORKs) Job Services provides employment and training services to recipients and applicants of the Temporary Assistance for Needy Families program. The Temporary Assistance for Needy Families program is a federally funded program that promotes job preparation and employment for families to become self- sufficient. CalWORKs Job Services provides funding for job development services as part of a broader commitment to families in need.

Ford Street Project will provide a comprehensive and intensive vocational and living skills program to participants referred by CalWORKs Job Services that leads directly to employment and contributes to employment retention. The vocational program includes twenty (20) ind...
