Summary of Request

The voters of Mendocino County passed Measure B on November 7, 2017, for the purpose of improving residents’ lives and public safety by strategically evaluating and enhancing resources for mental health treatment. On April 24, 2018, the Board of Supervisors directed a budget unit be developed for Measure B and managed by the Executive Office. In addition, the Board directed that all Measure B funds must be approved by the Board of Supervisors before allocation.

On July 8, 2019, the “Mental Health Treatment Act” Citizen’s Oversight Committee approved an item recommending the purchase of real property using Measure B funds for a Regional Behavioral Health Training facility/Mendocino County Sheriff Sub-station.
