Summary of Request

On October 17, 2017, The Board of Supervisors signed BOS Agreement number 17-131 to contract with NaphCare Inc. to provide inmate medical and dental care services. In that contract, NaphCare Inc. agreed to engage in good faith negotiations to amend Agreement 17-131 to address any changes necessary to provide such services.  

 

On May 7, 2019, The Board of Supervisors approved a contract with the Department of State Hospitals and the Sheriff’s Office to provide a Jail Based Competency Training (JBCT) Program at the jail. The DSH will reimburse the County at an all-inclusive rate of $29,294.25 per patient inmate for services articulated in the DSH contract.

 

After negotiating with Naphcare Inc., they are agreeable to provide all of the services outlined in the DSH contract and be reimbursed by the County at an all-inclusive rate of $25,778.94 per patient inmate.
