Mendocino County Policy No. 24 Drug-Free Workplace adopted by the Board of Supervisors on April 14, 1992 by Minute Order.                     

 

Summary of Request

Mendocino County Policy No. 24 Drug-Free Workplace was adopted by the Board of Supervisors on April 14, 1992 and has not been updated since that time. Human Resources is recommending the Board adopt the revised policy being presented today which includes the following: clarification on cannabis in the workplace; the definition of “controlled substance”; expanded prohibitions related to being in control of, or under the influence of, a controlled substance while conducting or performing County business; and clarification that the Mendocino County Employee Assistance Program (EAP) is administered by the Human Resources Department.

 

The County has met all meet and confer obligations related to this policy amendment.
