Summary of Request

The Workforce Innovation and Opportunity Act (WIOA), which was signed into law in 2014, helps jobseekers succeed in the labor market by providing access to employment, education, training, and support services while matching employers with the skilled workers they need to compete in the global economy. WIOA requires execution of this Memorandum of Understanding between the Regional Workforce Development Board and the American Job and Career Center of California (AJCC) partners to establish an agreement concerning the operations of the AJCC delivery system. Mendocino County Health and Human Services Agency, California Work Opportunity and Responsibility to Kids (CalWORKs) Job Services is a partner of the AJCC. The AJCC partners provide employment and training programs and services to employers, employees, job seekers, and others needing workforce services for the purpose of improving the economic development of individuals and the community as a whole.
