1. Welcoming Remarks by Board of Supervisors Chair Brown and Library Advisory Board Chair
2. Presentation of Library Advisory Board Annual Report
3. How to work collaboratively to plan and implement a robust library system:
• Enable collaboration by appointing a Board of Supervisors liaison to the Library Advisory Board
• Assure cooperation: Board of Supervisors consultation with Library Advisory Board on all library service issues
• Develop long-term plan for the improvement/replacement of the Ukiah Library
• Action Item: Board of Supervisors appoint a liaison to Library Advisory Board
4. Strategy for planning robust Mendocino County Libraries into the Future
• Review and acknowledge total capital improvement funds raised by citizens through Friends of Library leadership
• Secure funds for long-term improvement of all library facilities in the County
(See Library Advisory Board Strategic Plan)
• Goal: 1. Secure funding in perpetuity with a permanent 1/8 cent sales tax for library services and materials.
• Goal 2: Add an additional 1/8 cent sales tax dedicated to capital improvement/expansion funds
• Action Item: Board of Supervisors appoint a liaison to Library Advisory Board
