SUMMARY OF REQUEST:
In a letter dated July 5, 2016, Dennis Thibeault, Executive Vice-President, Forestry of Mendocino Redwood Co LLC raised certain questions of law to CEO Angelo about Measure V, an ordinance passed through the voter initiative process and law as of June 7, 2016. The letter went unanswered while the County waited for an official opinion from the California Attorney General. On August 8, 2019, the Attorney General withdrew prior to releasing the authored opinion to avoid a risk of conflict of interest. As the County is no longer awaiting a response from the Attorney General, a response to Mendocino Redwood Company may be appropriate.
