SUMMARY OF REQUEST:
The SBMC made a $10,000 donation to the Public Safety Foundation for the purchase of a pet disaster relief trailer equipped with crates, to be donated to the Mendocino County Sheriff's Office (MCSO). The Public Safety Foundation purchased said trailer and now wishes to transfer it to the MCSO. This pet disaster relief trailer will be used locally and also may be used to provide mutual aid in nearby counties. The trailer will provide a safe place for pets during a disaster. MCSO has vehicles capable of towing the trailer. The Sheriff's Office is requesting a pet disaster relief trailer be added to the County's fixed asset list and to accept the donation and finalize the acquisition. This request is to accept the donation and authorize the acquisition of the fixed asset.
