Approve letters of agency to confirm participation through Califa in the High-Speed Broadband Public Libraries Project through the Corporation for Education Network Initiatives in California (CENIC) and the California State Library, and confirm participation in the California Teleconnect Fund (CTF) program run by the California Public Utility Commission (CPUC) and administered by Califa Group; and authorize Chair to sign same.

SUMMARY OF REQUEST:
Mendocino County Library would like to participate in the High-Speed Broadband for California Public Libraries project to potentially join the California Research and Education Network (CalREN) which connects the vast majority of research, education institutions, and libraries in the state. The letters of agency allow the CENIC consortium, a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization, to include the library as an Associate in this year's RFP to improve connectivity, and to allow participation in the California Teleconnect Fund program discounts run by the California Public Utility Commission (CPUC).
