Ordinance No. 363 was adopted in 1956, with multiple amendments since, the last being Ordinance No. 4352, adopted March 1, 2016.                     

 

Summary of Request

On March 1, 2016, the Board of Supervisors adopted Ordinance 4352 prohibiting County attorneys from engaging in outside employment pursuant to California Government Code Section 1126. The proposed amendment to the Ordinance amends Section 3.04.062 of Title 3 of the Mendocino County Code (MCC), titled Outside Employment - County Attorneys; including expanding the list of affected County Attorney classifications, as well as modifications to sections 3.04.062.B.a and 3.04.062.B.b.ii intended to define and clarify employment. Numbering and formatting modifications that are consistent with the formatting of Title 3 are also proposed.
