RECOMMENDED ACTION/MOTION:

Approve the signing of the Grant Agreement with the California Department of Conservation by the Ag Commissioner for a maximum award amount of $208,600 and authorize the Ag Commissioner to enter into an Agreement with the Mendocino County Resource Conservation District to be the project manager for all the accounting and tracking of assigned duties.

PREVIOUS BOARD/BOARD COMMITTEE ACTIONS:
The Mendocino County Board of Supervisors during the FY 19/20 Budget Hearing on June 5th (agenda item 5(a) attachment 1) approved to support the grant application with a match of $10,000 allocated to the Department of Agriculture budget under Special Departmental Expenditures.
On October 1, 2019 the Mendocino County Board of Supervisors adopted a resolution approving submission of a grant application by the Department of Agriculture and authorized the Ag Commissioner to accept the grant funding, if awarded, and execute the Grant Agreement on behalf of Mendocino County.
