Approve retroactive Agreement with Community Foundation of Mendocino County in the amount of $425,000 to rapidly deploy funds to local agencies for CalFresh Outreach and Relief Grants to provide food, water, and personal hygiene products during the COVID-19 pandemic, effective April 1, 2020 through June 30, 2020; authorize the Health and Human Services Agency Director or designee to sign any amendments to the Agreement that do not increase the maximum contracted amount; and authorize Chair to sign same.

SUMMARY OF REQUEST:
In response to the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic, Community Foundation of Mendocino County has established a COVID-19 Relief Fund to provide basic needs to adversely impacted individuals, families, and organizations. The proposed Agreement supports Community Foundation's efforts by providing additional funds through two separate funding streams - one for CalFresh Outreach and related services, and a second for federally reimbursable funding to supply food, water, and personal hygiene products. Community Foundation is uniquely positioned within the County and, therefore, is able to rapidly redistribute funding in the form of grants to local agencies.
