Approve agreement with Pacific Redwood Medical Group in the amount of $177,312 for medical services provided at Juvenile Hall for the period of July 1, 2020 through June 30, 2023; authorize the Chair to sign same; further authorize the Chief Probation Officer to sign any future amendments which do not increase the total amount of the agreement.

Board of Supervisors approved agreement with Pacific Redwood Medical Group for the period of July 1, 2017 through June 30, 2020 on October 18, 2017.

SUMMARY OF REQUEST:
Pacific Redwood Medical Group (PRMG) provides medical services to youth detained in Juvenile Hall. PRMG provides up to 26 mid-level provider (Physician's Assistant or Nurse Practitioner) hours per month, up to six days per week. PRMG conducts physical examinations, episodic health care or medical consultation, referral to specialty medical services, as necessary, supervision and maintenance of medical records. They work in close consultation with our staff LVN to provide the appropriate medical care our residents require. In addition, PRMG provides coverage for our LVN during periods of absence to ensure medical care is provided as required by state law. There is a limited selection of providers locally who can serve the needs of Juvenile Hall. Probation routinely explores available providers and associated costs for services that are mandated.
