PREVIOUS BOARD/BOARD COMMITTEE ACTIONS:
The Board of Supervisors has taken prior action on similar employment agreements for the Retirement Administrator appointed by the Mendocino County Employees Retirement Association Board of Retirement, the last being on December 19, 2018.
SUMMARY OF REQUEST:
Pursuant to Government Code Section 31522.2, the Board of Retirement may appoint an Administrator, who shall not be subject to civil service or merit system rules, but must be a County employee. The administrator shall be directed by, and serve at the pleasure of, and may be dismissed at the will of the Board of Retirement. On April 27, 2020 the Board of Retirement offered the position to Doris Rentschler who accepted. On May 13, 2020 the Board of Retirement appointed Doris Rentschler to the position of Retirement Administrator.
