Summary of Request

In January of 2020 the State Department of Housing and Community Development (HCD) released a Notice of Funding Availability (NOFA) for the Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) Program funds for the funding year of 2019-2020.  As preparation for this funding release, Planning and Building Services (PBS) had completed a noticed public meeting in November of 2019 to solicit input from various community members.  Since that meeting date, PBS and their consultant, have continued to meet with interested parties to create an application for funding that is both competitive and necessary.  At this time, PBS is proposing adoption of a resolution authorizing the County to submit an application for three overall projects and associated activities, totaling $1,997,973.  Below is a breakdown of the CDBG Activities the County will be applying for:
