Approve Agreement with Redwood Community Services DBA Redwood Community Crisis Center in the Amount of $90,030 to provide emergency crisis services and outreach to children and young adults in Mendocino County, effective July 1, 2020 through June 30, 2021; authorize the Health and Human Services Agency Director or designee to sign any future amendments to the agreement that do not increase the annual maximum amount; and authorize Chair to sign same.

Summary of Request

Health and Human Services Agency, Behavioral Health and Recovery Services, requests Board approval of the Agreement with Redwood Community Crisis Center (“RC3”) in the amount of $90,030 for Fiscal Year 20-21 to provide 24/7 crisis response, Outreach and Engagement, to the children, youth, and young adults in Mendocino County who are experiencing crisis episodes. When applicable, services are funded through Medi-Cal and/or Mental Health Services Act Community Services and Supports (MHSA CSS). Many times, youth may be uninsured, and unable to apply for Medi-Cal due to immigration issues, etc. Redwood Community Crisis Center serves all of these youth, regardless of ability to pay. Redwood Community Crisis Center is also serving Transitional Aged Youth (TAY), up to their 25th birthday, and youth with First Episode Psychosis (FEP).
