Approve Standard Services Agreement with Califa Group in the amount of $300,000 to provide data circuits through CENIC high-speed broadband fiber network and CalREN to County Library sites, effective when agreement is fully executed until terminated, authorization to apply for grant for unreimbursed expenses; and authorize Chair to sign same.

SUMMARY OF REQUEST:
The California non-profit organization, CENIC, aims to ensure that all California residents have access to high-speed networks at their public libraries and educational institutions, and so far has connected over 70% of public libraries in the State to the network. The CENIC network consortium applies for E-rate as well as CTF discounts on behalf of the participating libraries.
