PREVIOUS BOARD/BOARD COMMITTEE ACTIONS:
On April 16, 2019 the Board appointed a Climate Ad Hoc Committee and made a referral of the proposed contract between Mendocino County and the Resource Conservation District on implementation of a sustainability and climate action program, and staffing for the Mendocino County Climate Action Advisory Committee to the Ad Hoc.
SUMMARY OF REQUEST:
The Climate Action Ad Hoc Committee discussed among themselves the proposed contract between Mendocino County and the Resource Conservation District but reached no firm conclusions, met withno other parties on the issue and made no recommendations to the Board outside of a publicly noticed meeting where the Board of Supervisors requested that the Mendocino County Climate Action Advisory Committee (MCCAAC) be asked to comment on their preference regarding the proposed contract. The Board has received no communication from the MCCAAC but has taken action to approve the Fiscal Year 2020-21 budget without including funding for the proposed contract. The Ad Hoc Committee members have had no discussions among themselves on any other issue within the purview of the Committee, therefore they request disbandment of the Committee.

Do not disband the ad hoc.
