Summary of Request:
Redwood Valley-Calpella Fire Protection District has complied with Health and Safety Code section 13869.7 by transmitting to the County of Mendocino its adoption of Ordinance No. 20-1, amending “Fire Safety Ordinance” to adopt, by reference, and amend selected provisions, chapters, and appendices of the California Code of Regulations, Title 24, 2019 Edition of the California Fire Code, to adopt local findings, and to make technical and administrative revisions to the fire safety ordinance. No ordinance adopted by the District shall be effective until ratification by the County where the ordinance will apply. Upon ratification of an adopted ordinance, the County shall file a copy of the findings of the District, and any findings of the County, together with the adopted ordinance expressly marked and identified to which each finding refers, with the Department of Housing and Community Development.

Don’t adopt the resolution, and provide direction to staff regarding a modification or denial of the ordinance.
