RECOMMENDED ACTION/MOTION:

Approve retroactive Agreement with Redwood Community Services in the amount of $140,422 to provide Expanded Subsidized Employment for CalWORKs participants, effective July 1, 2020 through June 30, 2021; authorize the Health and Human Services Agency Director or designee to sign any future amendments to the Agreement that do not increase the annual maximum amount; and authorize Chair to sign same.

SUMMARY OF REQUEST:
The proposed Agreement with Redwood Community Services provides for a comprehensive and cohesive training program to develop or enhance employment skills of CalWORKs participants during the 2020-21 fiscal year. Services will include subsidized employment for participants while they develop the skills and work history needed to obtain self-sufficiency.
