The Board approved a funding of $100,000 to Mendocino County Fire Safe Council at the Fiscal Year 2020-21 Proposed Budget Hearings.
SUMMARY OF REQUEST:
The Board approved a funding of $100,000 at the Fiscal Year 2020-21 Proposed Budget Hearings to fund Mendocino County Fire Safe Council's (MCFSC) operational costs for fiscal year 2020-21. This funding request is to accommodate increased demand in MCFSC services and create a long-term strategy to be fiscally independent. Activities under this contract include improving organizational functions, educating residents, and pursuing funding for fire preparedness projects.
This contract is retroactive as the final budget was finalized and adopted on June 23, 2020; therefore, necessitating the agreement to be presented at a future Board meeting for consideration.
