Amendment 1 was approved 6/10/2020.

SUMMARY OF REQUEST:
On July 1, 2019 the Sheriff's Office entered into a one year term agreement with In-Custody Transportation Inc. for its prisoner transportation services for the County Jail for the amount of $50,000. On June 10, 2020 the BOS approved the first amendment for the amount of $50,000 for a new contract total of $100,000 and a new term date of June 30, 2021. The Sheriff's Office is requesting a second amendment to add funding to the contract due to the COVID-19 Pandemic. The $6,040.62 remaining on the contract is not sufficient for the Sheriff's Office to pay for three pending transportation requests from the DA's Office. Prior to the pandemic, part of pick up journey was provided by a free shuttle service that drops off inmates along a route. That shuttle service is no longer available due to the risk of COVID-19 transmission. In-Custody Transportation Inc. has to now provide private transportation for any inmate that they pickup.
