Approve Retroactive Agreement with Lexipol LLC in the amount of $6,605.00 to pay annual subscription fees for law enforcement policy updates for the term of September 1, 2020 through August 31, 2021, with the Agreement automatically extended on its same terms and conditions for 99 additional periods not to exceed 1 year each unless either Contractor or County submits written cancellation; authorize the Sheriff to sign future amendments that do not affect the total amount of the Agreement; and authorize Chair to sign same.

SUMMARY OF REQUEST:
Lexipol LLC provides the Sheriff's Office (MCSO) policy manual services, and other important consultation as to statewide-approved policing practices, procedures, and policies. Lexipol LLC provides these services to over 400 law enforcement agencies in California, and many more throughout the nation. It is mission critical that MCSO has uninterrupted access of Lexipol LLC's policy manual services. The policy manual from Lexipol LLC is the document that MCSO uses to guide deputy performance, and is the discoverable policy and procedure manual for PRA's, lawsuits, and other legal quandaries.
