Previous Board/Board Committee Actions:
None. However, on August 17, 2020, the Mendocino Council of Governments Board of Directors reviewed and approved the Wildfire Vulnerability Assessment and Public Outreach Plan for Mendocino County and the Emergency Evacuation Plan as Annex A.
Summary of Request:
Category Five Professional Consultants, Inc. was hired by the Mendocino Council of Governments (MCOG) on 10/25/19 to construct a Wildfire Vulnerability Assessment, an Emergency Preparedness Evacuation Plan and a Public Outreach Plan for Mendocino County. In developing the three plans, the consultants worked extensively with the County Fire Chief’s Association, the Sheriff’s Office and a Technical Advisory Group comprised of key community stakeholders.
