PREVIOUS BOARD/BOARD COMMITTEE ACTIONS:
The Board's most recent revision to County Policy 25 (Grant Applications and Contracts) took place on September 16, 2003. Consistent with Policy 26 based on time restrictions, the Executive Office approved application for these grant funds on September 23, 2020 and Chief Executive Officer approved grant funds on October 2, 2020.
SUMMARY OF REQUEST:
Approval of Grant Agreement with the Center for Tech and Civic Life in the amount of $55,611.00 to plan and operationalize safe and secure election administration in Mendocino County in 2020 for the period of June 15, 2020 through December 31, 2020. The funds may be used for a variety of election needs including: ballot drop boxes, election department costs associated with satellite election department Offices, Polling place rental and cleaning expenses for early voting or Election Day, Vote-By-Mail/Absentee voting equipment or supplies, election administration equipment, or other election related costs.
