Approve Amendment to BOS Agreement 10-207 with Tyler Technology, Inc. in the amount of $438,642.73 to pay maintenance and support fees for Aegis MSP Public Safety Software Suite for a new term date of January 1, 2021 through December 31, 2023, with the Agreement automatically extended on its same terms and conditions for 99 additional periods not to exceed 1 year unless either Contractor or County submits written cancellation; authorize the Sheriff to sign future amendments that do not affect the total amount of the Agreement; and authorize Chair to sign same.

On March 26, 2019, the Board approved an amendment to Agreement BOS 10-207 in the amount of $117,625 for Aegis CAD Upgrade for Computer Aided Dispatch Services.
Summary of Request:
Mendocino County Sheriff’s Office (MCSO) uses the Aegis MSP Public Safety software suite, provided by Tyler, for Law Enforcement Records Management System (LERMS), Mobile Data Computer (MDC) reporting, Computer Aided Dispatch (CAD), Jail Management System (MS) and California DOJ records access. The Tyler software suite has been use in since 2011. It is a critical system that services MCSO, Ukiah Police Department, Fort Bragg Police Department, Willits Police Department, Task Force, District Attorney, Probation, MC Welfare and Juvenile Hall.
The Amendment extends the termination date set out in BOS Agreement 10-207 from December 31, 2020 to December 21, 2023. The initial term of this Amendment commences on January 1, 2021 and remains in effect for three years. The Agreement will be automatically extended on its same terms and conditions for 99 additional periods not to exceed one year each unless either Contractor or County submits written cancellation. The maintenance and support fees for subsequent terms after the initial 3-year term will be invoiced at Tyler’s then-current rates. Upon request, Tyler will provide County with a three year maintenance fee table for County’s budgeting purposes.
