RECOMMENDED ACTION/MOTION:

Approve appointment of Supervisor Haschak as Board Member Representative to the California State Association of Counties (CSAC) Board of Directors for the 2020-21 term; discuss the appointment of an Alternate; and authorize staff to transmit said appointments to each.

PREVIOUS BOARD/BOARD COMMITTEE ACTIONS:
Last action of the Board taken on November 19, 2019. These are annual Board appointments traditionally acted on prior to CSAC's annual meeting in November, at which time a meeting of the new Board of Directors is convened.
SUMMARY OF REQUEST:
The constitution of the California State Association of Counties (CSAC) warrants that Boards of Supervisors elect a representative member and an alternate member to serve on the CSAC Board of Directors for a one-year period, commencing with the first day of the CSAC annual conference in November. This year's remotely-held, annual CSAC conference is scheduled to commence on November 12, 2020.
Historically, the Board has made said appointments for a one-year term to meet CSAC timelines.
