Summary of Request

At the October 13, 2020 Board of Retirement Election James Andersen was Elected by Majority Vote as the Alternate Retired Member, 10th Seat.  The Board of Retirement Bylaws, Article X, Section 8, State that Following the Date of Election the Retirement Administrator Shall Certify the Election Results to the Board of Retirement and to the Board of Supervisors. The Candidate receiving the highest number of votes shall be declared elected.  

 

Incumbent Candidate Kathryn Cavness, General Member, 3rd Seat, and Richard Shoemaker, Retired Member, 8th Seat were Unopposed for the October 13, 2020 Board of Retirement Elections.  Therefore, pursuant to Government Code Section 31523, the Board of Supervisors shall order that no election be held and shall direct the Retirement Administrator to cast a unanimous ballot in favor of such candidates.
